Nice one mate! I ask myself that question quite often and the answer is always 'no you shouldn't stop drinking!'

Me and 2 friends went out to a local town and got pretty sh*tf*aced as you do and decided after the obligatory kebab that we could walk home. My mate lived on his parents farm about 5 or 6 miles away but we thought it would be fine. Got about 1/2 a mile or so out of the town and it started pissing it down. My mate decided he knew a faster route (across some fields) and we followed. We ended up going the wrong way! God knows what time we got in and I can't really remember anything about the night out apart from the walk back and when we woke up in the morning I was on the floor and my friends in a bed, I looked down at my feet and they were green from the rain coming through my shoes!

If you got smashed on Barcardi Breezers or similiar, then yes, give up alcohol. And swap your car for a yellow VW Beetle.

If it's on proper booze then continue as you are.

Alcohol stops your body burning fat, so you will end up a fat bloaty git and your arteries will clog up.

But hey, you are only young once so enjoy it while you can

If the numb fingers are your little and ring finger then its your ulnar nerve, its what makes your arm go wierd when you bang your elbow, the funny bone. You may have slept in an awkward position.

A good drunken night is fine.
as long as its not every night, can be a bit of a drain on the body and like sidibear said But enjoy it when you can.

I've lost all feeling in the tip of my index finger by trapping it between the A piller and the door on the weekend.

They should be better by now, its not drink related though. I have limited feeling in my left hand and little feeling in my right hand ring and little fingers. I do however, have spinal issues. My right hand problems are related to the ulnar nerve, and at your elbow its exposed and is easily damaged or knocked, its your funny bone. If you haven't slept in an awkward position or had a bang to your arm then I would suggest to consult your doctor for advice. An MRI scan is painless and may well prevent further or future problems.

Short and sweet account of what happened.........

It was my work's xmas lunch.
    Had some wine.
    Had some food.
    Had some beer.
    Had some more wine.
Had a company game of truth or dare.
    Had some more beer.
    And more Wine.
    All crawled to the pub.
    Had some sambucas.
    Had some cider.
    Had some tequilla.
    Had some beer.
    Had some beer.
    Smoked some cigarettes.
Went to the chinese restaurant around the corner.
    World started to spin. Badly.
    Panicked a bit.
    Left restaurant.
Called a taxi (on company's account).
    Taxi arrived.
    Jumped (fell) into taxi.
Mouth started to do the pre-throwup excess watering thing.
    Heaved a few times.
    Managed to control it.
    Fell asleep.
Taxi driver woke me up asking stupid questions.... something about where exactly he should take me.
Tried to answer but threw up over my trousers.
And over the inside of the car door and seat.
Apologised, but also tried to blame taxi driver for talking to me.
Next day received a phonecall from the taxi firm informing me that they'd be invoicing company for 50 valet fees and 90 loss of earnings for the taxi driver.
