Pic 10. Denge Mirrors, early form of radar.
Pic 14. Buzludja Socialist monument.

Last pic, Shivering sands sea forts. I got a boat trip out there a couple of years ago from Herne Bay, very spooky. When he cut the motor on the boat all you could hear was the clanging of a distant bell on a buoy. Well worth it, do it.

great pics need a little information under each one as to what and where they are

I would have done but it'd have taken forever I'm afraid. All the info, and more pictures of each, can be found on the main site.

As Karl alluded to, you can see many of these on Google maps, which I find a little freaky. Especially the submarines here: 69°13'24.66"N 33°20'48.86"E

oh man, you're right. it's sad to see all this engineering left to rot 69°13'24.66"N 33°20'48.86"E - Google Maps

I'm actually amazed that the home revamp tv programmes haven't converted the maunsell forts into a series of stunning apartments with sea views in an exclusive, private residential community

This one's pretty amazing too.... a ship floating on its side (google earth coordinates 30.541634,47.825445)

I checked out streetview and it's a technology university! Guess the final year projects are rather impressive! Love google earth, I can waste hours on that.

Anyone use 28dayslater forum? It's a great site for stuff like this!!!

I would keep the coordinates safe because the pikeys looking for scrap metal might find them !!!!

Excellent pics, makes you think what more is out there hey!!

Some of that stuff would make amazing properties surprised they've not been snapped up.

That's to much grand design for ya.

There is one in Paphos, Cyprus as well, just beached on the rocks.

Some dudes went and actually stole the prop blades from it one night using scuba gear. Fair play.

28 days later is a great forum, haven't been there for a while but they did a great "tour" of the Rover factory a few years back. Search it out if you have time.

There's some amazing pictures here as well!

Search carefully and you will find the gorgeous Rookinella naked......

Use to be a member on 28DL and did all this UE stuff. Still do a bit.
Not as much as I use to. Got a bit bored was all ways looking for greater explores and thrills. Thought I'd better calm down before I get really hurt and in to real trouble, since my job kind of depends on me not doing any thing naughty.

You'll be surprised at the amount of stuff left to root on in the UK. Some really good sites.
Hmmmm I might go out this weekend, the smell of damp and rotting wood is calling me. lol

Check this site out if you like abandon stuff.
