Nitro RC offroader

should say on the pack depends on the size etc. mine i only have to charge for 4 hours and then it lasts ages.

Ye you have to be persistant when bedding in. once it reaches the point where it wont actually start youll need to retune according to the manual and up ur fuel. You wanna be idling at least 5 tanks.

a lil tip if its being ****** when trying to start it. Grab a hair dryer and warm up the engine beforehand. Make it so its warm to touch including the exhaust. I guarantee itll start alot easier after that. unless something is severly messed up.

All the tips you guys have provided are great and I have also joined MaxBashing RC Resource so have managed to get some hints on race events in my area. To be honest, I am not too bothered about racing at the moment. In fact I have only had time to get it on an open car park twice since I bought it.

I also managed to burn out the glow plug, so had to buy a new one which I fitted last night. Who knows I may be able to take it out again this weekend if I am lucky. I think breaking it in is going to take a bit longer than expected.

yeh it does unless u literally sit there teh whole day. u cant even leave it to idle until a few tanks as it will keep cutting out. its a pain but great when its finally sorted

Well I think I have bought something which is as expensive to run as the Audi. Since owning the Hyper 7, all I have done is spend more money; new filters, filter oil, battery pack, charger, servo(broke the original not long after having it) and last weekend I managed to home in on the only post in an open field, smashing up thr front suspension! This doesn't include the cost of the equipment and fuel you need to get it started!

Hopefully I will buy the parts I need tonight to get it back on the road, but other than everything above, it's a great laugh. I need to start tuning it, but even now the car is pretty rapid.

dont worry mate i did the same the other week. I think ive replaced almost everything at some point since owning it.

i hit a stone the other day doesnt sound bad but it jumped and cracked my steering servo then hit a kurb at 30mph. bent the whole chassis snapped off the bumper and ruined the front suspension. also the engine plate and loss several screws. my throttle servo cracked also when the chassis bent so cost me another £90 for all the bits. took me a good 3 hours to rebuild it all again was a mission. sorted now though and still good fun :D

Yeah. I bought a whole load of rechargeable batteries which was great, but hadn't realise that they were 1.2v rather than 1.5v, reducing the power to the servos. Still waiting for my charger which I ordered at the beginning of the month.

ouch i always use hobby stores as they stock my cen parts but they sell other stuff like the others and usually arrives within 5 days.

who did u order from?

I ordered the charger from E-bay and suspension parts through Apex Models - Europe's leading radio control specialist. Apex promised me a 5 day pick up, but that was three weeks ago and they still have not arrived; so not much better! I noticed they didn't stock Hoboa stuff at the shop.

All these nice weekends...and no fun to be had. Worse still, if nothing turns up before next weekend I could end up watching the Royal Wedding:scared2:

I've definitely made the right choice, although with the amount of money I have spent on repairs, I am wondering whether I should have gone for the 8 or 9. Sourcing parts is proving to be a problem at the moment, there must be distribution issues with CML.
