Getting back into UK timezone tips please

hey all cam back from our 2 week hols from Florida on thursday morning stayed awake long as possible big mistake and most of us have slipped back into u.s time again.

went to bed last night at 11pm ive just got up 12pm im going back to work on tuesday and i need to get up at 5.30am in the morning.

any tips on getting back on track

not looking forward to going back to work at all
 
I found out that time was the only cure,jetlag sucks
 
Time will obviously help. What I've found best at sorting me out (apart from not eating on the flight, and eating the appropriate meal when you land), is to basically get drunk. Start drinking early afternoon, and continue until about 10-11pm. Then sleep. I often find I will only wake up at 6am after that, and usually helps sort it all out...
 
Took me just over a week to get over my jetlag, 7 hours forward from UK time, but due to me working in the evenings, it's practically the otherway round time wise! It was much easier sleeping and getting up 7 hours later though, getting up and going to bed 7 hours earlier was a nightmare. The crap weather we have here doesn't help neither.
 
I found travelling 1st class seriously helped! Flat bed with mattress & pillow.... Beautiful !!

I did a fair bit of travelling across the pond in the last few years working in Barbados.

Night flights are horrible! especially in Economy. People just don't give a *****.

But I would have agree with the getting hammered bit, definitely.

I used to sleep as much as poss on the way back ( not really possible in economy! Except with zopiclone.... Zzzzzzz Snore..)
Then would go to straight to bed @ about 8am and sleep till about 6pm have dinner etc then go back to bed at 11. After 1,2 sometimes 3 days then I would be Ok.

Never really cracked the Jetlag though even after about 8 trips. I don't know if anything works TBH?
 
we got upgraded to Club world on the way it was awesome and the business lounge was AMAZING!!!

I was with Virgin, Very nice exec lounges.

I think I remember having about 13 Dark Rum & Cokes when coming home, I was rat *****.. & it was freeeee. Nice.

Sorry for the slight thread deviation mate....
 
The day before you travel back, set your watch to UK time and start living it.
