Just after abit of advise tbh…

We intened to buy a VW Lupo as a second car later in the year but 'me' being 'me', I've picked up a seond hand set of adjustable coilovers! Yes I know, crazy but wondered if I should do anything special with them regards to storage until fitted?

Ie. Store them standing up/lying down? Grease them? Compress the dampers/leave them extended? Etc

Hi

When ive bought coilies, theyve come boxed with springs / platforms etc on. They also havent had any upright markings on the boxes.
I stored 1 set as new for a year with no issues lying down, built up as they came.
Im currently storing a set built up, still in the hubs so upright.

Some OE shocks come compressed, but i think thats more for space saving packaging wise.

Oh and id make sure the tube threads are clean and debris free. Wouldnt grease myself, as anything you dont clean off will be a dirt magnet! Maybe if your worried some wd40 or something that can be washed off easily.
