Recaro Start Child Seat

It looks like the child and the seat are both held in by the car's seatbelt.

We've got a similar style seat, but the child is held in by a bolster cushion like this:

I think they're very good actually, and much easier to secure the child in place. If you're carrying an empty seat then they have the potential to move about, but mine never moves to be honest. I guess you could always strap it in empty if you're worried about it moving. I like the MP3 compatability lol

I've just bought a new seat for our Son - We'd also looked at the Recaro but i've heard bad things about them - regarding kids being able to get out of them!

You should look into getting a rear facing seat - See the link http://www.rearfacing.co.uk/
As it states on the site - Doctors are trying to make it compulsory for all children to use rear facing seats until the age of 4.

It's law in Sweden already!
