    Is this some sort of scam?

    I'm sure I have seen this sort of thing before, is it a scam?

    Seems to good to be true, and that generally means it is.

    why would you blank out the number plate on an autotrader picture??

    Exactly the same reason you'd blank your plate posting a pic on here? If you want to run an HPI check, contact the seller and ask for the details, hardly difficult.

    But yes, at that price, scam.

    When I was looking for my A3, I found around 4 at an unbeliveable price... each of which replied with something along the lines of:

    "I am from UK but car is in Germany, pay 200 shipping" blah blah blah...

    Its even more unbelievable to think that people actually fall for something like that.
