Tow Car Recommendations

Looking for something under £3k, sporty, powerful, to be used for towing my e30 track car and trailer 6-8 times a year and preferably not a 4x4. So something with a 1800-2000kg towing capacity!

How about an A4 Avant?

Poosibly a 2.8 Quattro, that should do it shouldnt it, or a 1.8TQS
