Afternoon all!

I've just had to replace my front Bridgestone Potenza RE050As, we've done about 10,300 miles in 18 months and although the backs are still on 4mm, the fronts were down to 2mm on the inner edges. I'm not sure what sort of mileage other S3 owners are getting on their front tyres - seems a little low to me and stung even more as over 3/4 of the tread was still on 4mm! Clearly an alignment check is in order

Anyway I've been reading up on here about the various options for the S3; Audi quoted me around £360 fitted for a pair of the Potenzas and from the feedback here, it's clear they're NOT all that!

Was passing BUDGET TYRES on BATTERSEA PARK ROAD the other day (0207 223 1720) who are a Michelin specialist, although they stock most decent brands. Popped in for a quick quote. Came out with a huge smile on my face - for a pair of 225/40/ZR18 XL Pilot Sport 3s, fitted, valve, balanced, £250.00!!

Needless to say I snapped their arms off, and the car had its new shoes yesterday morning. Too early to say how they are, but I'm off up north on Monday so by the time I'm up there they should be bedded in and ready for the twisty stuff.

Really happy with these guys - great price, tyres were in stock, a pleasure to deal with too - friendly and helpful. So I thought they (and fellow ASN users!) deserved a shameless plug!

Sandra - Perhaps you could copy this somewhere for non 8P forum users to be able to see too?
