Our car was juddering all the time, took it to local audi garage where they replaced clutch and flywheel, new coil blocks and something else that was cracked and leaking, not sure what without looking at invoice, which is in the car now back at the garage. Total cost of repairs £2,500.

The day after we picked it up the engine management light came on, wasn't on before. We took it back to the garage and they have just called to say it is showing a fault with the lambda probe! Would this not have been the cause of the juddering problem in the first place? They said it would have caused the juddering I described, but did not show up initially.

Did we need all the other work done?

We would seem to be back at square one, looking like we will have to pay more repair costs.

Sorry about my lack of car knowledge, this is why we pay a garage to fix our car.

Just received call from garage, they have identified a wiring fault which is why faulty lambda probe was not identified originally. As a goodwill gesture they have offered to fix free of charge.
