Reducing total wheel diameter

Hi all, was looking at some standard 17's but with 205/40/17 tyres, I'm currently running 19's with 225/40/19's, does anyone know how it would effect acceleration if at all and how much the speedo would be out? This is on my A3 V6.

That's a difference of about 10% so your Speedo will under read. Acceleration is likel to be better but such a huge difference is going to look stupid in the arches.
