Hey, bought a 10 plate A5 Sportback 2 weeks ago from near Audi. I know it was the dealers managers car. I received a call from an 0161 number today telling me I have a GPS tracker in my car and asked whether the dealership mentioned this. They didn't. He went on to say that demo cars are required to have a tracker fitted.

He then gave me the option to have it activated for about 130 p/m.

Is this suspicious in any way? Or is it legit? If legit, is it a good deal? Im assuming it brings my insurance premium down too.

Could you post the full number for us to see?

Just rang it and an automated voice said - welcome to cobra nav track

So I'm guessing its genuine as Cobra is Audi's own tracking service.

Just double check/confirm with the supplyig dealer though.

From what i've seen, its not worth it from an insurance perspective. I have one in mine & it was only going to make a difference of £20-£30 on the premium.

Personally, I doubt if I would want any car back after some thieving scum have ragged it to death either.

Tracker makes my insurance go up. Im baffled? Its like they dont want my car to be recovered. That hurts!
