Thinking of adding another car to the fleet and was wondering about the BMW X1 - any forum members got / had one, what's the best spec to go for - any known problems?

My buget is around 24k

It's not as bad as the X6! I don't like any of the X or Q ranges, but if I had to make a choice...dare I say it...It would be the X5. If I had a choice of any 4x4, it would have to be a proper one like a Landy or Range Rover.

I have driven the x5 & x3. with the x5 you don't get more interior or boot space over the x3. the x1 is just a plane stupid concept produced to rack up stats for those who just want a 4x4 on the cheap. its ugly and I passionately hate it. you are better off spending your money on a vw Tiguan or an Audi Q5 or a Yeti skoda if you are brave.
