Bridgestone lust launched their new tyre, Potenza Adrenalin RE002. We had the chance to test it on the Ascari racetrack in Spain last month.
For Bridgestone knowers, the Adrenalin Potenza RE002 positions itself between Turanza T001 and Potenza S001. It is aimed at drivers who want to experience the sporty feeling but who requires a high safety level at the same time.
Speaking of security, they have worked really hard with this tyre to offer exceptional handling (on dry and wet) and a good stability. On the technical side Bridgestone highlighted
- high grip shoulder blocks
- solid contact centre rib
- a reinforced wall

Our test on Ascari
When we got to the racetrack in Andalusia the sun that we were expecting was hiding, and the weather was rather unpredictable and the track was soaked. Never mind, we got the chance to try the tyres in tough conditions.
Provided with an Audi A3 TFSI, we drove the north loop (very technical) of the Ascari racetrack. The least we can say is that the Adrenalin RE002 gave us a good feeling while driving; precision, handling and stable when braking are the main reasons.
After we tried the Turanza T001 mounted on a VW Golf 7 to compare the tyres. Remember that the Turanza is positioned more as a "touring" tyre in the range.
Following the comparative test;
- The result is a draw from a safety point of view. The two tyres are equally good in this weather condition
- A completely different feeling while driving, the Adrenalin handles successive corners more smoothly and offers enhanced driving sensations.
In short; the Adrenalin RE002 is positioned between the Turanza T001 and the Potenza S001. The new tyre provides a real driving pleasure.
