Where do I find my engine code, '55 2.0 TDi oil pump worries.

Hi All,

About a year ago I bought a '55 Golf 2.0 TDi. It's only done about 40k miles and so far I've been happy with it. Recently I came across the reported balancer shaft and oil pump drive problems on here and other forums and it's got me worried.

How/where do I find the engine code and check the type of drive to the oil pump?

Golf tdi doesnt have the balances shafts . You have nothing to worry about .

Thanks, I've since found the engine code on a sticker on the cam belt cover. It's a BKD and as you say they apparently don't suffer with this problem.

does this apply to all bkd engines. looking at getting an a3 or golf gt tdi in the next few weeks. thanks.
