Obviously power and torque would be much appreciated... its hard driving anything else after becoming attached to the power of an S3...
Not fussed about MPG figures, insurance or road tax.
Don't want something more than 7 years old..
Want something secure/not easy to steal... well not like a push button start BMW anyway.
I have been thinking of the Merc C280.. but I guess that would be desirable to thieves like an S3 these days. SO preferably not a theif magnet.

? Might be a push to get a gem for the top end of your budget, but if you're coming from an S3 and like you said don't care with running/insurance costs then that is where I'd start looking.
