This has been on the cards ever since they built the new F1 complex. The only real money maker there is the Nordshliefe, the old Nurburgring. The F1 side of things has been a major flop.
There is talk of the team, companies, and manufacturers that test there will club together to save the Nordshliefe. But whether it will continue to be open to the public remains unclear.
I'm glad that I have been lucky to have gone to the ring on various trips over the last 10 years but I hope I've not driven my last lap round it
