Thinking about selling the A3 :'( .......

.......... so I can get myself a sexy Audi A4 s-line. I've always been a big fan of the 06/07 A4 s-line model for 2 reasons, 1) being they are stunning looking and 2). being that 6-7K is all I can really afford. lol got offered an 05 A4 s-line 2.0L for 5,500 along with my audi a3 2.0l tdi se 04 model and I was like ummmm..... NO ( that was from a dealer) Ive heard rumours that in the 2.0L engines gives some bother, is this true enought and am I right in believing from what Ive heard that the 06 onwards are clear of this problem? something about the oil pump etc?

goin on sunday to look at a sexy metallic blue A4 s-line.

2.0 tdi units, seems a common problem throughout the VAG range, not just A4s, quite well documented if you look at the stickies at the top of the B7 A4 forum! This is what put me off an 08plate A4 Avant S-Line with all the toys which was offered to me for £9.5k! The car was mint, with tiptronic gearbox aswell, which I was after, I even took it out for a blast! But head kept saying no!
