Anyone on here going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend ?

Me and a million others, but then I do live on the doorstep. An event that has become overwhelming and with too much emphasis on smoozing and crawling to the corporate money bags. Money is the motivator that just happens to include with a slightly patronising nod to the car enthusiast. If only you could see behind the scenes, the wall charts with ticket sales to date, the targets set and the indecent urge to sell sell sell tickets. That said the estate was struggling and his Earlship has transformed the fiscal fortunes, but the whiff of greed is there - just note the food and drink prices for example, set by Goodwood.

I went yesterday, lovely weather as it was supposed to rain.
