The hire van could be for the company they work for though. I work for the local council & sometimes we get hire vans for a few weeks if our old vans have gone off lease & we are waiting for the new vans to arrive etc. We get fuel cards for our own vans obviously & we also get fuel cards for any hire vans we get. So if the hire van was a company van then fair play to them lol.
