wtf happened 2 my diesel lol

my motor fuel tank guage was in the red so put a tenner into and needle moved out of the red i and it said i had 50 miles on the dash i drove 2 miles left the car for a while came back started the motot n my gauge was rock bottom and it said 0 miles left on the dash wtf happened!!!!

Dipped tank??? Or car was thirsty....has been warm!

Happens to me sometimes, as I very rarely fill the tank up I useally just put 10-20 quid in but if I leave the car to run to the red and I put a tenner in it tells me I have 35-40 miles then when I stop again it goes to zero, I think it's where when you drive or park on a hill facing upwards the fuel goes to the back of the tank where the float is and when you stop or part on a flat it levels out, or at least thats what happens to me lol, but check your fuel lines for leaks ect just in case
