Basicaly ,
Im wondering if a car is named on a traders policy ( my mrs's second car )
Would my insurance that allows me to drive others cars if insured .
The traders policy is her ex's he has always had it as a named car on his policy ( he can list upto 4 cars on the policy as "his")
we are looking to set up our own policy but at the moment the car needs to go for an MOT and im unsure if im covered to drive it.

Agree with Jo, as long as the car is originally insured and you are covered on your policy to drive other cars 3rd party with the owners consent, you should be ok.

Its just with it being "named" on a traders, Im a little unsure about that being the same.

Paul, just go on askMID and check to see if the car is registered as insured with it's reg number. If it comes up as yes, then all is go!

From my experience of traders policy, most traders will inform their insurance company's of cars in their fleet, or they would be pulled over by traffic cars equipped with ANPR camera's, which can be annoying.
