Thread: Vehicle dimensions - weight

I want to get a car only for track use (but road legal).
Decided on 1of3 but want to check what's their weight.
Anyone have a good website with proper car weights?
Or if someone have S3 or A41.8tq could you please check on your v5?

When I check on autotrader there seem to be same cars with different kerb weights so that doesn't look
to genuine.

Need to find the following:
Audi S3 8L
Audi A4 1.8TQ B5
BMW 328i Coupe E36

if it's ONLY for track use you are choosing the wrong cars to start with !

Depends how you look at it.
1. I don't want to spend a fortune on it
2. I would prefer 4WD or RWD than FWD
3. I am to tall for cars like mx5, mr2 etc. and to be honest simply hate cars like that.
4. I don't want a car like saxo, clio because of the size of it.

buy a skyline,gtst with 400-500 bhp = serious weapon,you can get a 400 bhp gtst from £4500 to anything up to £8000

Each 8L S3 weighs different dependant on options. I actually have an original sales brochure of the optional extras, each had individual weights! lol

Thanks Alex. TBH I thought S3 would be a bit lighter than that.

Everything is fine with cars like Skyline, S4, M3 when it's about the price to buy them.
Problem 1 is insurance.
Problem 2 is when something goes wrong it can be very expensive.
Problem 3 all upgrades for this cars are a lot more expensive comparing to the cars I listed.

coming form owning 7 skylines (both gtr and gtst) i can tell you

1;the insurance is the same for me with my A3 as a gtst or gtr
2;Audi parts are 1/3rd more expensive
3;Skyline gtst upgrades are 1/2 the cost per hp as my audi

i bought my audi as i wanted to be a bit less "in your face" and i had been informed by the boss i need to grow up lol,but if i ever wanted to build a track weapon i would go straight to the skyline as for cost for performance i dont think there is much if anything to match

1 R34 GTT 4 R33 GTST's and 2 R33 GTR's ,never owned a 32,been in and driven many though,IMO they are the best of the bunch as a weapon but Jayne never liked them so we never had one,can add pics etc of my old cars if you want but i dont want to clutter your thread as its not relevant,if you want any info on them just let me know and i will be happy to help you out
