Vagcom on Ebay ?

Hey guys,

trying to find a cheap vagcom/code reader and saw this ? was wondering if anyone had one and what they thought of it ? does it give all codes or only the one's linked to the dashboard lights ?

If you have a laptop get VAG-COM, it's much better than a code reader. You can modify things and create logs with VAG-COM which a simple code reader can't.

As Aar0n says get the vag-com lead, its more expensive, but you can do so much more with it. Nigel on here (NHN) can supply you, pm

Right, so I bought one of these fault finders and it seems to have worked a treat however simple. it found 5 faults however some of these I don't think have been reset. One of them was:
17978/P1570/005488 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer

However the car starts totally fine.

A question I have is if I reset all the fault codes when there is a fault present, will it show up again when I restart the car ?
