Need someone whos good with Injectors and abit of advice.

Hi people, hopefully someone can help me out here.

    I've got a 1997 Audi A4, 1.9tdi 110, it's already been chipped to around 140ish bhp.

Now I'm wanting to fit some .216 injector nozzles, now firstly do I get the bosch ones for £120 a set or some cheaper ones off ebay for like £70 for a set?

I need someone fairly local to me to fit them(North Yorkshire) and set them up, do the vag-com adjustments etc. I don't mind traveling abit to someone or can cover your fuel to get to me aslong as your not to far away.

All the garages i've spoke to so far don't seem to want to touch it or keep saying go to another garage who then tell me to go to another and so on.

I would buy a full set of injectors as they wont require pop testing wich is where your money will go ! Make shure you get genuine bosch nozzles as the cheappo ones ae chinese, some are good quality but are difficult to balance but some are just crap ! The best bang for buck is Bosio Race 520 nozzles, with a bigger turbo you'll have soo much torque and bhp you'll worry the clutch ! Drive down south and i'll fit the injectors and adjust them for you. Contact diesel bob for a price on balancing...

What is the pop testing? And do you mean full set as in the complete injector instead of just the nozzles for them?

You need to pop test the injectors when new nozzles are fitted. That will cost about 150-200 quid. Add the price of the nozzles and it's cheaper to buy a full set of T4 injectors... I would look for AEL 140Bhp audi a6 c4 injectors as they are true 0.216 size and the largest fitted to passenger cars of that vintage ! I jave AEL injectors fitted to my T4 van and a large wastegated turbo and it's doubled the power- started life with a measly 88Bhp !

Ah right I get ya, so best off getting a full set of injectors then. Bit more clued up now. So if I bought the injectors would they still need balanceing? Is this done when they are fitted or done prior to fitting? Guessing I could just get a diesel injection place to do that?

Yep, any decent diesel specialist will be able to balance the new injector's nozzles. You will however need to adjust the injector pump as the engine will shudder at iddle and it will be smoky at WOT...

Sorry to thread jump I have the same question really,
I have a 90bhp a3 1.9tdi, and I have been reading fitting bigger injectors and getting a remap would boost performance a bit,
I'm looking to spend around £500 for this extra performance can this be done?
    Any help would be great,

^^^Do you have a wastegated turbo or a VNT one ? I think yours might be VNT but i'm not sure. Anyway, a set of nozzles and a remap/chip tune will unleash a lot of torque and bhp, enough to upset the clutch. I have just finished rebuilding a w reg audi a4 i've bought a few months ago off a forum member, had a few bent rods due to hydrolocking, fitted Bosio race 520 injectors, a 2.0 tdi pd turbo(gt1749VA hybrid) and ported/rebuilt the head with stronger springs and new seals. The car flies, enough to upset a vr6 corrado a few nights ago and i could keep-up with a stock s3 from a rolling start ! The engine is AHH, has a bigger pump as standard. Waiting for custom oil lines for the gtb2260vk turbo then i'll pull-it off the car and fit it to my v6 tdi allroad ! More to come: allard EGR delete pipe, boost gauge,pd 130 piping and custom remap. Needs a better clutch though as the allroad has a 240mm clutch as standard and a 6 speed gearbox...

So is fitting bigger injectors easy?
Will it be a stick them in and get it remapped?
Can you post a link of injectors that will fit my car and boost performance?
I have seen some one eBay Bosch ones but do I have to buy the whole cases aswell? They are £129 for 5
    Thanks for your information

The t4 injectors have a better body than the 90/110Bhp and flow much more fuel. Yes, it's just a case of swapping the nozzles, but they need to be pop tested for equal flow between them...

Thanks Adam could you tell me about what a pop test is,
So your saying some T4 injectors will be fine to put straight in, again if you have a web link where to buy from please, just so I know I'm getting the right ones,
Plus is there a wiki / sticky that shows how to do it?
