rumble noise coming from rear :s

I have got a sudden rumbling noise today coming from the rear of my car A6 quattro 1.8t it sounds very similar to running over the bump strip at the edge of the motorway there's nothing wrong with the power or the gear change and it only happens at 40 mph + and only when I let off the power

Is there any vibration or can you tell if its coming from the side or centre?

yes there is plenty of vibration not sure where its coming from other than the rear

managed to get the car in a garage today it turned out that all my wheels had come loose :s
