Hi all,

With the never ending petrol price increase I'm in doubt whether or not to change the car. Never something I wanted to say, but, my head is taking over my heart with this one. I'm finding myself short each month as I still have a loan for my current car but if I were to purchase something a little cheaper I could pay that off and still have a decent car at the end of it all. I'm currently thinking of a VW Polo GTi which looks to be better on petrol than mine at the minute.

Your thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

James

In all honesty, trading cars costs money, but if like you say, you are falling short each month, I think trading downwards is the way to go, or maybe even get something a bit older and save some monies for future sake.

My sister has just got herself a brand new Polo GTI to replace a Clio 197, she loves it to bits driving round town, with the DSG gearbox and low down torque. Can't comment on fuel economy, but she says it's only slightly better than the Clio.
