Ive git an 07 plates a3, its only a 1.6 but im looking to get it remapped. I know alot of companies dont remap this engine. Ive had a quote off fr&r tuning for £200. I know i wont get huge power gains but its the driveability i want. He quoted between 5-8 horsepower gains. Just wandered if anyone had used them before? Cheers for any help. Jono

Seriously mate, and without meaning to sound harsh, I wouldn't bother. I'd be surprised if you notice any difference at all.
Put the money towards something that'll make the car look nicer... i.e. lowering, wheels, tints, etc etc.

The remap gains on a non-turbo car DO NOT justifiy the cost. Much better off using the money to have your inlet manifold ported or something...
power gains are not massive but if it will improve driveability then your on a winner. I'm a fan of fr&rtuning, they done all my car, see my signature
