Some thing like this.

Volkswagen : 240 BHP mk2 Golf G60

Although my ideal Mk2 Golf would be an original GTI G60 in Metallic Aubergine with under 100k miles. I've seen the odd one for sale, but can't bring myself to buy one, even though I could afford it! Maybe it will stay a dream car, as I have an 89' Big bumper 16v anyways, and can't see myself paying the premium just for G60 power in my favourite colour.

ive always loved Golfs was so close in buying one, the interior looks pretty tired tbh. compared to the merc looks very good value, lol

This, and with the spare grand add some modifications.

If one of these was in any way shape or form a sensible daily car I would drop my A4 in a heartbeat

I ran mine as a daily for around a year, had a works van so didnt do the work commute thou!

Unfortunately I work as a lighting engineer for an engineering consultancy which means my car is often found with a big yellow flashing light on the roof driving round the county. It's thanks to this why I've done nearly 65k miles since I got it three years ago :(

How epic would it be though to be flying around in a cossie with a yellow light on lol

LoL. Have to admit I have been called to a site when I had my track car at the office. That looked really odd with "Highway Maintenance" in the back and Orange lamp on the top. Might have a photo of that somewhere.

Mine would have to be a Corrado Storm

1995 VOLKSWAGEN CORRADO 2.9 VR6 3dr Coupe

Always wanted one of these, even when I had the money to buy one, the insurance on one of these was just ridiculous.

Later on in life, I would still like to get another Mk2 GTI or a Corrado of any form really.

About a year ago i bought this Fiat Coupe 20VT. Loved them when they first came out and always wanted one.

It did not dissapoint i loved it!

Why did I look at this thread...
I really want a mk2 with a 20vT in it now!

MX5 with a turbo slapped on it, or a Caterham/Westfield.

Might do it next year anyway...

Cheers,
