OK.. got two issues but hopefully roles into one.

Put a deposit down today on a Used AUDI A4 cabriolet (2005 S-Line, 3.0L, Manual, 23,000 Miles) from fontain.co.uk.

I have heard good AND bad things about them but thats cool. What I really need is two questions answered.

When I started it up today it blew blue smoke for about 1-2 seconds and then stopped.. (turned into a normal condensation spray). I am 99% sure it hasn't been started for about 1 week (when I was there last)..... My question IS "Is this something I should be worried about?? Is it normal? Slightly Normal, Slightly ABNORMAL?? It was rather cold today so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

WHICH leads me to my second question... I am based in LONDON but will travel :sm4: . What I am looking to do is take it to a well respected AUDI mechanic or specialist on the day I pick it up and get it checked. This way I am well within my stautory rights to find out if anything is wrong and I have been mis sold a car. I am not concerned about the few hundred pounds I spend to find nothing is wrong... BUT I am concerned about the £1000's I might spend in a years time if I don't get it checked.

SOOOOOO

Who knows the best, most honest, good looking, Trustworthy, NON MAIN DEALER Audi specialists in the country.. Remember.. WILL TRAVEL.

Contenders so far are :
VW Audi Seat Skoda Service & Repairs | Independent Specialists | Lichfield Staffo
VAGtech Limited - Independent Specialists for VW Audi Seat Skoda

Audi West London have offered me to do the AUDI APPROVED check for £240 but that seems like a waste of time. I don't mind "paying" for a service if it uncovers other issues... which is what I am looking for.

Any help would be great.

I dont think any petrol engine should smoke if its blue it will be oil.Such a low mileage in 6 years means it may have done only short journeys with the choke which can wear an engine .Have you tried revving it when hot to see if it smokes?what sort of guarantee do they give? Why noy get an AA test first?
