Vinyl or Paint?

Just after some opinions here...
I'm thinking of having a black roof on my A4 TQS and was wondering what would be the way to go coz I don't like spending if I can help it and don't have to!. I'm thinking getting it vinyl'd would be cheaper than painted but is vinyl any good? I dont want to waste my cash and if painting is the way to go I will save up the cash! Any ideas on comparative prices at all?
Any thoughts/experiences, pro's/cons...

I've used a fair bit of vinyl on my old Bora, to have the roof done your looking at around £40-£50, looks just as good as paint but annoying when it starts to get scratched and marked, but the main benifit is that if you ever wanted to remove it you can do, you dont have to pay to have it sprayed silver again.

I would say just vinyl it, that seems to be the way forward nowadays, as you can switch back whenever you like really.
