Saved from the scrap yard in February. It needed a full engine re-build as the cam had seized in the head causeing a 20 valve piston party! Spent a small fortune replacing everything internally, all built in my pre recession garage. Next was the interior, which can only be described as a f****ng mess, I think the previous owner was a painter decorater as most of the interior was covered in emulsion and random coloured paint.
Fully rebuilt including all bearings, bolts, seals, gaskets, new rings, de-glaze, cleaned injectors.
Adjusted actuator, boosts quicker and holds for longer, bailey recirc, carbon sealed cone type filter with 4 inch cold ducting from front bumper. N75j valve gives me 0.1 bar more boost!! haha. Boost guage to keep my eye on that mahoosive K03 turbo and all its boost.
Oil catch tank/ pcv removed. I wanted a better solution than the naff pcv system. My pcv was leaking boost pressure back into the crank case, so it was removed and blanked off with the addition of the catch tank to catch the nasties before they enter the tip.
No mods as yet other than fresh discs and pads.
To come, either a set of coilovers or decent suspension package.
Tempted with a set of brembo's.
Standard minging 16 inch wheels with the worlds most naff tyres. Came brand new with the car but never buy 'Runway' tyres they're not bad in the dry but slightly damp and its game over. The rubber is rock hard.
Almost removed all trace of previous owners paint. New climate control unit as the old one was smashed up again by the previous owners (what a nice chap!?)
Standard t sport chequred blue and black trim, piano black painted centre console.
All standard atm, anyone got a cd changer for me?
'Ash's go faster pack' basically shut your eyes and press the go pedal, no seriously i've been working on different layouts of subframe improvments (lower strut braces and stuff) all top secret.
