Did the edit button always disappear from posts after 12 hours ?

Also as Nige pointed out. I keep getting redirected to a drug site strangely when trying to reply to his post on this thread on getting redirected to said drug site. Even the emotions button redirects!!

Yes there has always been a time limit on the Edit and trust me I know all about the redirect. I will find it and then I can go to bed
