Question about the plots.
You have STD & Forge Intake, then Superchips and REVO. Where the Superchips and REVO runs with or without the Forge Intake, i.e. where they done with the standard air intake?
PS: Are AmD only based in Essex now? Has the Bicester unit gone now? (I'm so out of touch these days)
I can answer that one. All runs done with Forge Intake, this is the highest figure we have got for a non-mapped car so the Forge intake lives up to its rep of producing 8-10bhp.
AmD are now in West Thurrock Essex and Woking in Surrey although we are actively seeking AmD dealers in other areas at the moment.
P.S. If you are near Bicester Ed at APS will do a good job for you.

I have contacted my local AUDI garage (I live in Greece) and had a chat about the clutch issue. They told me that Sachs is a great one and there is absolutely no need to chance the flywheel...unless of course it is worn out.
Why do you say that a new flywheel is needed?
The clutch on the 2.0t FSI engines are all Dual mass flywheels, so the flywheel wears with the clutch, if you dont change it with the clutch itself then your not getting 100% of the benefit from the new clutch, and as the labour is a big portion of the cost its 'advisable' to change it at the same time, trust me, I would have rather left the standard flywheel in the car but everyone I spoke to with experience of this advised me to go the route I did..
Iggu I just wondered did your workmate pull through or not cause be shame if he didnt since he kinda inspired you to go for it, guess if he did then he'll be taking a very quick drive in your car huh, lol

sorry to earwig but what was the tesco advice, I've always run v-power in the past, used tesco 99 in last two tanks and have been impressed, but gettin revo'd 2 morra and want to do the right thing

this is not as such fact as i haven't studied both fuels but have seen the internal affects of both

It all depends on what you want from the car and what conditions you're setting the car up in. Iggu wanted a quite agressive setup hence he's quite high boost settings with less timing and a lean AFR
you're dealer should go out with you to set the car up on the road and if like Iggu you go for the select plus i'll give you a call and talk you through what settings you'd like based on what settings your dealer has set.
then once you're ready to start fettling a little more with your car the switch is there for you to play with :)
I'm goin for the select plus, I use the car as a daily driver so would probably go for more gentle map, but we'll see. Thanx for the replies

Hi...I've lurked around this forum for a few days,and I have to thank a number of you for the answers to a lot of questions.
Thanks to Iggu,I've been able to decide on AMD as the tuning shop to go to,and to Shaun from AMD also for the very open advice about what and what not to bother with.
So....next week my S3 gets the remap only at this stage,and anything else can wait a bit until I've seen what that's like.
Hopefully I'll get the RR figures from doing just the remap and see how they compare with Iggu's more comprehensive mods.
Coming from a heavily modified Escort Cosworth a few years ago(an ex GpN tarmac rally car) I'm not rushing into the expensive mods right away!
It's also been an eye-opener to find that some dealers are quite Ok with engine mods,whereas my local ones definitely aren't.
Simple `plug and play`, stealth mod that makes a HUGE different to the car.
Apart from the power and torque increase the only difference you will notice is slight flutter from the turbo when you open the taps and a higher pitch, more audible turbo whistle.
Do it, you wont regret it.
I've been thinking about having it done for a few weeks(well almost as soon as I bought the car in fact!),but didnt want to jump in before reading up,and before the engine was loosened up a bit.
It definitely needs more torque,and more power won't be a bad thing either.
What I didn't want to do was to destroy the civilised nature of the car,as I really don't need another car like the Escort I had.
I was advised when I bought that monster that it would either kill me or cure me of needing cars like that again and it did....15mpg at best and 5 mpg quite easily,as well as very snappy handling when pushed.
Very happy with the S3 but can't wait till next week from reading what all you guys have done.
It was after chatting to PaurAr over the phone that I went for Revo. Its simply brilliant - transforms the car from a good one into a truly great one IMO. It won't unsettle the car's attitude or civilised demeanour - I run my two baby daughters round in mine every day: its no widowmaker trust me.
And you won't get better service than AmD and Shaun. Please say hello from me and tell him the car is running as sweetly as the day I drove it out of his workshop - if not more so.

Hi guys, well this thread has finally pushed me over the edge - am getting the Revo free trial put on my S3 at the weekend, which I'm 99% sure will lead to getting the proper package installed shortly afterwards!
I was considering going straight to Stage 2, but after hearing Iggu's results with Stage 1 and appropriate mods, I am now left wondering where the benefits of Stage 2 would lie?
what hardware is it that you're running on your car?
If you had been within sensible driving distance you could have taken mine for a spin to get a feel for a `mapped only` car.
Anyway, the trial software will give you a flavour, in fact its pretty close to the software you get when money has exchanged hands.
I've read around this a bit,and listened to all of you satisfied owners here,and I'm pretty well set of getting the remap as opposed to the trial software.
I remember the grin on my face with the first of many "upgrades" to my Sierra going from 220bhp to 270bhp and even more with the next.
It's a costly road....
lve thought about this trial software. l was wondering if you could map this on a GIAC mapped motor and once the time period had past would you still have your GIAC.
so will my flashloader reinstall it
if the flash loader is actually a reflash tool yes....but i'm pretty sure it's not, as far as i know it's a switching tool.....your giac dealer will be able to confirm for you
