Ever thought of black optics grille?
Nah don't facelift, looks amazing as is...
Thanks for all the comments guys!
Just read this thread from start to finish. Real passion put in with the results being a real credit to your efforts. Well done fella and keep it going!
Would be interested to see how this measures against an RS.
Again, nice work and well done!
How you finding the intake? I had one fitted (Revo Intake) before Christmas and love it. I'm really enjoying the noise it's making. I haven't had a remap yet. Do you think the intake and dump noise will get louder after a remap?
Loving the noise and having taken out the forge spacer from the dv, I think the car sounds and performs a lot better!
I think the noise would increase slightly if you got a remap since your turbo will be boosting harder and requiring more air!
Just seen this on FB was looking good, Gave u an add on FB aswell
Very nice boydie.
Another for good measure lol (got a new app!!)
No major updates since but have a couple of things happening in the next couple of weeks - just took delivery of a Revo throttle pipe which will increase response and allow more air flow (H)
With dubdshed happening last weekend, I was asked to put the car in the Revo stand. I jumped at the chance and was invited along for a photo shoot on Saturday with some awesome dubs.
And the rest:

Good to catch up with N8 at the show :D
It looks lovely as usual, very beautiful car, I'm very jealous
Nice shots Boydie.
Love the Sprint Blue on big silver BBS CH, looks great.
Boydie your car gives me goosebumps mate!
I used to have basically the same wheels on my old mk4 Golf, love them so much.
I need the Revo CAI in my life, you might have mentioned earlier in your thread somewhere but which engine cover are you running?
Cheers mate, keep up the insania.
Thanks bud! The car has 73k miles on it too which adds to it and is my daily!
The engine cover is from a TTS - I got it off ebay I think and I had the centre sections carbon dipped. The revo intake is awesome - I really love it compared to my ITG. It was a great unit but this one is a lot neater and better performance!
Looks stunning, and those wheels are spot on!! Makes me want some now...
Lovely car pal, best colour aswell. :salute:
What does the forge short shift kit do?
Does look awesome that mate!! Same colour as mine!
(Im selling a set of these wheels if anyone is interested pm me :) )
Very sexy car mate !!
Great seeing you on Sunday Boydie, looking well fella, and good luck with that lovely mrs of yours ;)
Cheers N8! Good to briefly catch up with you again!
So, a small update on the never ending progress of my S3 which I have now owned for 4 years and counting!
Dubshed, Ireland's largest VAG event was in april and it just keeps getting better and better each year! Clubs from all over the UK came over to enjoy the event and for once, the weather! As above, good to catch up with N8 again who I hadn't seen since Edition 2009 I think!
I was asked to be part of the Revo stand which I was very chuffed about :)
Revo kindly brought over my throttle pipe which has a reduction in bends and no diameter changes. This addition to the intercooler system prevents added turbulence to the incoming air to the engine providing smoother power delivery and greater top end potential :)
I also had the Super Pro Anti Lift Kit and Super Pro Front Wishbone Bushes fitted. As most of you may know, Audi Quattro's are renouned for understeer even with the 4WD system.
A number of changes like ARB's, coilovers, springs can be made to help reduce the under steer but the most effective mod tried and tested has been the anti lift kit. They alter caster angle and dynamic camber with it and they shift the task of controlling nose attitude from the chassis to the suspension (blatant C&P!).
So how does it feel? Feels a lot tighter, more responsive but I have still to put the car through its paces on familiar roads to conclude a final opinion. I am very happy with the mods and would recommend a ALK to anyone!
Booked the boat from Belfast to Cairnryan on Friday for my annual road trip through Scotland to see my Granny up in Forres, Morayshire so I will be able to put the S3 through its paces when boosting through the Cairngorms! Cannot wait so if you happen to see me, give me a flash!!
Boydie, the car looks Stunning. How long are you in Scotland for? If your still here on the 21st, stop by the secc for the Scottish Car Show, we would love to see you. :) x
Thanks Sandra - I am only over until the 14th and get the boat back over to Belfast! Would have been great to get to a main land show though!
Thats the same pipe as I have on mine....it's basically the BSH throttle body pipe,as Revo have connections with BSH.
Rigid(!) and plumbed for WMI...good buy!
Car looks stunning by the way.....Revo wouldn't want mine on their stand the way it normally looks!
Always loved your car boydie. Very nice.
Your car is looking sweet Boydie as usual. I too have a sprint blue and they do look great polished up. Have you ever had any bodywork done as mine has 28000 miles on and has the usual stone chips which bugs me!
Do you machine polish it often to keep on top of swirls etc and what polish/wax do you put on?
Car now has 76k on it, been tuned since 16k and driven all over the place on a daily basis - I still love it!
A local detailer charges £30 for stone chip touch up and does an excellent job so I get that done a few times a year. When I am back from Scotland next week, I will be booking in with him to get it all sorted.
Polish - trusty autoglym SRP
Wax - I think there is Collinite on it at the minute but for most of my ownership I had been using Blackfire Midnight Sun.
Car barely has any swirls on it but I noticed some marring though yesterday in direct sunlight but it is very minor considering the age and miles on the car :)
Amazing seeing you too Boydie and how you've turned your life around, fiance was lovely too man

HPA Haldex Controller
Just a quickie(so to speak!).....re the Haldex controller....I couldn't see if you'd already uprated the springs etc to coilovers, but if you haven't,I would do that before even thinking of the Haldex,as the difference from that is quite small compared to a good set of coilovers.
Cheers Alex - not 100% certain that I will buy the controller. I currently have 25mm H&R springs in the car along with the H&R ARB's and anti lift kit.
There is a difference, and traction can be improved, but it's nowhere near as big a difference as the ARBs etc that you've already done, and decent coilovers can make as big an improvement again, whereas the controller in my opinion doesnt.
The cost of the controller is a long way towards the rest of the suspension, and I only added it after the rest had been sorted(aside from the Clubsport suspension upgrade that is!).
Glad to see you're still going forwards with the car though.
Great looking car fella, plenty of hard work gone into that - not over the top either, classy
Thanks guys - not much more to do to it that I can think of except keep it clean and tidy.
We have a show coming up at the end of the month, Titanic Dubs which is set at the pump house of the dry dock near where the Titanic was built. Was a great show last year and with the building works finished in the area it should be even better.
So, I have to completely strip the car of wax, get some bits and pieces tidied up including bumper chips, clean the leather, wheels and arches and just keep on top of it.
I have thought down the line of big brake kits as well but for the driving style I have, I have never really felt the need for bigger brakes - just think it would be another tick of the list!
amazing looking car Boydie and the things you have add to it
Great attention to detail Boydie. This is one of my favourite cars on the forum.
