2.5 TDi (AKE) Sticky Follower
So, i'm a bit concerned...
I've not had my cam covers off but a quick look down the oil filler cap of my 164k AKE suggests some cam wear and just recently, I've started getting a sticky follower on startup.
The oil appeared to be in good condition (bought car a couple months back) but as soon as it started ticking, I stuck some 507 spec millers in. This cured the ticking for a while but now it's back....
If it stopped ticking after a few seconds I wouldn't be too worried but at times it requires a small amount of driving to stop.
With the weather starting to turn crap, is it likely to be ok 'til the spring or should I really be thinking about replacing everything?
