Had some spare time today so got radiator leak fixed,MAF sensor sorted, track rod ends changed into solid ones, wheel alignment done and the car washed :racer: i call it well spent time
Few more bits done, no pics though :)
Outer cv boots, fitted the 034 motorsport front arm kit, reconnected the clutch line(what a ball ache), stripped down ready to do the cambelt tomorrow, fitted dual miltek, measured up for new reducing link pipes and got them ordered, painted and fitted the rs4 intercooler brackets, bolted the gearbox linkages back up and probably a few other little bits ive forgotten.
Lee where was it you got your DP's, wanna have another look at their exhaust
EGR Removal & Blanking plates fitted. 2.5 TDi V6.
Less smoke, slightly improved MPG, possibly better pick up from 1500rpm - 2500rpm but that bit could just be in my head, lol!
Over all, well worth doing though!
It took me 2 hours to get home, normally 45mins and somewhere along the flooded streets I ripped my under tray off.
Just spend an hour trying to put it back on.
All done though. :)
as it takes more than girly water to do this:-
and only takes a couple of minutes to remove and refit!
That's her car had an oil service, and following on from here (2.5TDi Sluggish) I've adjusted the actuator stop screw and rod length to see if I can improve things.
It starts much better now, and has a faster response. I tried logging runs, but snow and icy roads made it challenging to say the least!
Not quite today but on Sunday Changed the Oil and the Oil filter and the air filter. Next pressing task is the worn LH CV joint. Audreytoo needs a new CTS I think and possibly a new thermostat. Otherwise seems to be going ok.
ran 2 lots of flushing oil through mine today, oil light still comes on from 1500rpm and over :(
always thought this was a good car too lol
The dash ignores it below 1500rpm so its likely on constantly....
What pressure are you getting? You need to check with a guage.
Is that an alloy undertray you bent in half?
got the sump off tonight anyway and it doesn't look pretty so i'll give it a clean out and see where i'm at, can get a new pump for less than £100 but not sure if thats overkill or not considering the debris in the pick up
well thats the bottom end cleaned out, engine flushed and new oil/filter.
took it for a run and seems to be ok, i'll pick it up tomorrow but fingers crossed should be fine and lesson learnt considering i wasn't aware of the issue but everyone else on the planet is lol
Well today i tackled the ICM delete and coil upgrade to hitachi E type coils, new bkr6e plugs gapped at 0.032 and changed the rocker for the old style AEB one and fitted new style mk5 golf oil cap.
See coil harness upgrade thread for more pics.
Great news was the sump was fine :yahoo: I went and got another fairly sharp!

I'm slowly making my way through the complete TNG series, I've done Voyager.
I also had a play with my awning but it was to windy to set it up fully.
Set about changing the turbo on the avant at the weekend.
Test fitting FMIC:
Test fitting big TIP and 3" MAF:
TIP pipework needs some tweaking still and i need some hoses to finish off the intercooler so i'm hoping those arrive this week and i can get it finished off.
Oi! Nowt wrong with trek. Don't get me on one :superman:
I did this on saturday.
Today I made this to help me find a better way to wire it up. http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/car-ent...ml#post1741480
Just had the boiler quit on me just before I start a series of 5 late shifts! :sadlike:
Suspect the ignitors are worn, so need a while to remove, 'adjust' and refit.
On the plus side, the wood burner is still going.
Also found out two of the four washer heaters are gone - one on each car.
How are you playing DVD's on the NAV plus?
Bought my cambelt kit, aux belt, water pump, thermostat, oil and filter today in a nice big bag that makes me happy.
Should of cost me £400... Mine for £160. Gotta love discount!!
Just home, off now until 26th :yahoo:
(.....and my 05:00 start on the 26th now is much later - I was wondering how many Plods (or should that be Plebs :ninja: ) would pull me on the way in)
Both cars nearly look clean after all the rain
Spent 10 mins getting drenched at the bottom of the drive hunting for letter remnants that I may or may not have - my postbox finally gave up the ghost and blew away :uhm:
That's me out with the Mr Muscle - AGAIN!
Unfortunately Mrs PaulF has been complaining for a while, and I just hoped it would sort itself.
Unfortunately, she did a Google search.
It turns out Mr Muscle foaming cleaner cleans ovens almost as well as turbos!
Oh, well, at least Christmas dinner will be done in a shiny oven.
Went and bought a new mota(Ford shaped unfortunately)....well, actually done it on 20th, this is just me getting on the comp since being home. And a private plate for it aswell!
What have i done today? 23/12/2012?
Went Mcdonalds! Does that count for anything lol
