Not so he can **** about for hours fixing things in the hope that he can do the job he initially quoted for several hours later.
Prior preparation prevents piss poor performance.
I rocked up to R Tech with a PERFECT car, and left with a PERFECT result. The reason for this? Niki was able to get the car to do exactly what he expected because the hardware wasn't fighting him.
If you don't have the knowledge to make sure your car is in perfect condition prior to mapping then you need to either pay a specialist to assess the vehicle prior to mapping or leave it the **** alone.
Anybody who turns up for a "remap" with faults deserves to be sent home cap in hand or to pay the price to rectify them.
You wouldn't book a decorator to paint your walls and then ask him to plaster the ceiling first when he turned up....so why should a tuner do the same.
