Here's my A3/Christmas pudding :P
Here's my A3/Christmas pudding :P
They are indeed 18's. I almost went for 19's but seeing your first pictures made me go for 18's. Your car looked so 'over-wheeled' in that pic on your drive but it looks much better in your latest pics! I think the 19's look great if the car is lowered and you have a big brake kit (the brakes on the S3 look feeble dont they!) but I've no plans on doing the brakes for a long time! Also, doing 40k miles a year I wanted something a little less compromised on our lovely roads :(
I had the polish chaps down my road clean it for me so I could take a few quick snaps. I think you're not too far away from me here in Guildford, we should meet up in the spring and do some photties!
yeah sounds good dean, ive just brought myself an slr so still trying to get the best out of it. (nikon d200)
im in guildford tonight as it happens,
brakes are next on the list. i dont mind the size of the fronts (which are standard ;) ) but the backs and my wheels just look silly.... might get some monster porka ones.... i feel my car rides a little nicer on 19" then it did on 18" must just be me...
im going to get my car washed tonight i think. im sure someone would love to get there mits on my dirty bits.
my old a3 1.8t regret selling it sometimes! and my not very good pics of my new s3:happy:
a quick snap of my lovely 200sx!
and my lovely s3 sorry about pictures will get some good ones when the snows gone!
and the engine bay (work in progress)
Hi. I`m from Poland and this is my S3 :)
Looks great VinCe.
loving the smooth front bumper and black headlights, that car is stunning!
G'day Dean, I'm Gareth from Perth, Australia.
Ive been looking into some new rims for my S3 and was scrolling through the various pics for some inspiration, when I saw yours - they look fantastic!!
I was wondering if you could perhaps offer me some advice etc.
1/ where did you get them? Being overseas, i've got to find a seller who is willing to ship them.
2/ how do you find the quality of them?
3/ I'm just in the process of installing some koni fully adjustable coilovers and i've heard that 19" can make the ride/handling a bit compromised. any thoughts on 18 vs 19 ride quality?
ps, love the snow you have been getting. its been as high as 43degC in the last week or so :-((
S3 ANDY... I'm liking that twin tip exhaust who they made by?
pic of my a3 quattro turbo
Just picked up my first A3 so only got the PistonHeads advert photos! It's a 1.8T Sport, totally unmodified except for the RS4 alloys. Never dreamed I'd find such a perfect one for me; right engine, alloys, interior (half leather) and stunning colour (with all the other boring bits). Hope you like it!
looks very tidy mate! well done!!
wouldnt have brought that from good old windsor great park then!
That is stunning
my car with blueflame cat back
Looks really nice, A3Tomlin. Great colour and spec.
Very Nice Noggy!!! Lets have a pic of the engine:)
yours is super clean, and i like the fact you have different rims...gives the car a whole different look every time you change them.
will do soon as i get it cleaned up a bit...
i must say you guys on here really have a great looking cars, awesome mods as well.
unfortunately availability of good performance parts are hard to come by in South Africa.
at the moment i have a
forge splitter DV (cost quiet a bit to bring down)
63mm Downpipe and Exhaust...i removed the CAT (one of the few perks of living in a country with no emission laws)
Forge Turbo Inlet Pipe
New addition is the carbon fibre induction which from what ive seen has increase the amount of air coming in as well as reduced temps (will try and do a compare with stock VS Carbon fiber intake on Vagcom)
also i DONT get the wooosh sound which is a plus in my book.
coming soon is a front mount intercooler and software...i think the only options we have thats recognized is REVO, Unitronic and GIAC. the others are local, but are doing considerably better than the recognized brands.
Awful photos and 8 years of neglected (polish wise) paint work, mine, picked up around 2/3 weeks ago;
Great photos... getting all nostalgic, miss my ol' 8l s3! (8l much better looking than 8p I think!)
(8l much better looking than 8p I think!)
Always thought the 8L and B5 were really handsome cars. Nicer, more simple design and will age better than 8P or B7 for example, in my opinion. Mate with a B7 really doesn't agree!
For some people newer = better but really that ain't always the case.
Nogaro blue i think
Your car looks pretty bling! Like the twin exhausts :)
i like the colour of yours, pretty scarce here though.
i have alot more planned but no time...number 1 on the list is a full detail :)
any mods on yours cookstein?
No, just chrome wing mirrors :) Looking at either new wheels, suspension or ECU chip. Plan to do all at some point but which first...
98 1.8t. aint really got any good ones of mine yet... got a few of my mods tho, got the car just after xmas 09 :)
my nicley curbed wheel came with the car. I have some brand new RS4 rims to be fitted once i can afford the tyres! :)
Tried these on for size the other day, just need thinner hub adapters (on way) and different tyres (already mounted) and they should fit perfectly
