Hi All

New to the forum so hello form me.

Having purchased an A6, my 100 is not getting used so much so decided to sell, it is a 2.4 V6 (petrol) saloon, good service history, good condition for age, maroon (purple) colour, 120K mileage, plenty of reicepts for the works been carried out, to be honest very good car and i was driving it until last year.

Taken it out a few times and still drives lovely (and to be honest better than my new A6, but thats another story)

I will post some pictures up shortly (over the weekend) really don't know what to sell for but P/X was awful so decided to keep her.

Open to offers, car is located just outside Cardiff.

Hi All,

I am calling on all those that feel the way I do about these cars, I have come across one which on the surface seems clean, original with 92k on clock on an R plate. I have in the past owned a 2.2 gt coupe I know different car but people will know the passion. Call it mid-life crisis, but I would love to own a convertible before I part this earth. I have read a few reviews on what to look for, and most rave about them (being German built I guess!). It is up for £1795, not sure if this is about right or not but I would say yes for this example.

I was holding out for one up until Nov 2012 when I got impatient and bought an A3 1999 which is great! but I am now split,I am guessing the difference between 1.6A3 and the 1.8Cabriolet is not that much,I do about 100 miles a week, car tax same and insurance looking promising!.

I have always let my head rule my heart! but I am seriously thinking about going for it! what do people or hopefully other owners think?

Many Thanks

Jason

I have a 1975 Audi 100 4cyl and need to replace the Distributor.

I have been unable to find the timing marks. Are they on the front pulley of the engine like American cars? I can turn the engine through the hole in the front and would expect to see the marks there. Do you look for the timing marker from the top of the engine. The Audi repair manual seems to indicate it is at the bottom of the engine and see the timing marks friom underneath.

Also to remove the Distributor I would need to bend a 13 mm wrench in order to loosen the bolt holding the distributor in place.

Thank You,
