Well suppose i should start a build thread. Picked up my daily 1.8T A6 in march and tbh, i knew i shouldnt have got another turbo car. I just cant help myself tuning the balls off em :racer:. Anyway, ive had numerous jap cars and 3 mk 2 Golf gti's and a mk3 Gti but this is my fisrt Audi and my god i love it. I picked mine up for £1700 on a 52 plate with 81,000 miles and a fully stamped book rolling on 19" RS6 wheels. The guy wanted £2k but with the dodgy spray job on the rear quarter , curbed wheels and about £150's worth of paintless dent removal needed i got it for the price mentioned. Anyway, as soon as i drove it away i started planning in my head what was in store for her, and its already started, so the plans are.

RS6 style boot lip spoiler
Wheels repaired and sprayed gloss black
Black wrap on roof only
Dents removed and rear quarter sprayed to a HIGH standard
Coilovers just to get the stance right (not scraping)
EBC Turbo disks and BD predator fast track pads up front- DONE by ME!!:o.k:
All belts and water pump done - DONE by Regal autosport
Forge DV- DONE by regal autosport
Revo stage one remap - DONE by regal autosport
Oil, filter and magnetic sump plug - DONE by ME!!:o.k:
New Red Coilpacks & Grade cooler NGK's - DONE. wasnt on the plan but needed after Map
Engine dress up ,silicone(blue) and carbon goodies -Started
Modified Cut N shut Airbox with BMC panel filter - DONE by me
K04 - 015 turbo
Catless Downpipe - Sat in the bedroom
New flexi pipe as blew old one after map - Sat in bedroom
custom powerflow exhaust with twin round tips. will only need flexi back as i already have a decat waiting to go on.
FMIC or uprated side mount as im not going much higher than 250-275 Hp (yet)
S3 Injectors
Uprated fuel pump
Devils own water/meth injection - Booked in for 24th july
Revo stg 2 remap.

Think thats it but il add more as i go along. i will post pictures and reviews as i go along

Hey all. Just found this forum after looking for one for ages! Had an Audi A3 1.8t a while ago and was lovely. Sold it and have had a handful of cars since, but have had my new motor for about 3 weeks now. Paid £1550.... A couple little bits need doing though.

Plans are:
Refurb wheels as paints scuffed/faded etc
Paint calipers red
Steam clean interior and boot
Replace badges with red on black quattro
Blacken Audi rings and A6 badge
Get o/s wing resprayed as faded
Wrap interior trim in 3m carbon
Fix drivers seat bolster

Will let pictures do the talking!
154k, FSH handful of owners, seems pretty well lookers after for the age!

Day I picked it up

ok, so im no carpenter and probably could have taken a little more time, but you know, i rarely use a router, and proberly had the wrong cutting bit, but hey ho, heres my go at adaptor rings, that a knocked up in literly an hour

so these are 6" speakers to fit in to the original location, the vibes have a shallow mount and including 10mm mdf produde about 20/25mm more then original location

i did try and do a pod mount which turned out good, but kept hitting my foot, and just looked gash from a oem standpoint.

so

adaptor ring, i cut about 1/3 way down to allow movment of cone and it sits nice and centred

then had to cut a slot becasue theres no other way to do it and get it right in to the corner to clear the door skin.

i decided id go all bodge and use some masking tape and tape the out side and fill the inner side with thin packing foam (the stuff wrapped round games consoles and such)

so once set in place i run some resin around the foam to make it go ridged, hold ot in place with the attempt to direct the sound out and not in to the back of the card

and then with the foam back over you can see it still fits in the foam. all good.

lastly if you want me to knock you some up give me a pm, and i promise to take more care with the cuts. i just did it as a spur of the moment boeardem type deal. but they came out really good. and i found why my door speakers were crap, the foam pretty much all the way round had seperated from the cone!

hope you enjoyed that and give you some ideas of your own.
