Am new here and looking for my 1st Audi.

As I know very little about car mechanics and have a tight budget (or none should anything go wrong), I have narrowed my search to a 3.2 Quattro Tiptronic.

I would love a S4 / RS6 - but a £15k budget would mean an older car (I prefer a B8).

I chose the 3.2 coz the 2.0T is turbo and just another component to go wrong?

Would appreciate help in what I should look out for when buying a 3.2 Quattro tip?
And potential known issues with them.

And anyone LPG them before?

I am unsure which TDi to go for......I know I want an Avant Quattro and was unsure whether to go for the 2.0 or 3.0?! I will soon be in the market to get back to the Audi badge and can't wait!

What are the pros and cons for the two engines, economy, power, scope for tuning etc etc?

I picked this up from warrington audi the other week and i am so happy with it, much different to my previous car a volkswagen scirocco. Love driving it as it feels so luxurious! Really happy with the colour as it always looks clean! I will look forward to browsing the forum and getting to know a few of you.

I have been searching the regular forums for the last few days and can't find the answer I am looking for.

Question: Can you retrofit ISOFIX to an Audi A4 B8 8K Avant?

What I know is that it can easily be done on the B6 and B7, I read a fair few posts on this and how it is simply attach a bracket and two bolts, job done. I read on one of the posts that with the B8, they have introduced smart looking mounting points with plastic trim brackets and cut outs in the seat to make it look nice (Because that is exactly what the consumer wants...). I found a new rear seat on ebay with the same trim, but including the cut-out locations and plastic trim brackets, I asked the seller if this comes with the ISO brackets, but the seller said currently not as they thought the ISOFIX bracket was welded to the chassis. This makes no sense to me, as it will limit Audi in there aftermarket sales and it would mean that if there is a defect in the ISOFIX itself, then there is no way of changing it.

So to elaborate on my previous question:

1. Can I do it?
2. If so, do I need to change the rear seat, or just buy the bracket and fixings (Even if it is from Audi)
3. If I need to change the seat, should the ISOFIX come with it, or have Audi really welded the ISOFIX to the chassis?

I am sure there are other people wondering the same thing.

Having looked at the video, it seems the tiptronic box is not engaging very quickly when launching.
So any idea on what I can check, or have sorted on the box to get the 0-60 as close to what Audi advertise as possible.

Car has 50k miles on the clock, has FSH with Audi under freeway plan.

I have recently changed my pride and joy A4 Misano red 143 saloon,the boot had become to impracticle.After months of thinking and almost buying an Octavia VRS i decided to go with the Avant.The new car is a 2012 Black edition 170 and my god it shifts compared to the old 143 saloon.I have a question regarding the turbo on the 170 i can hear it spooling much louder than in the 143 is this normal??

I will get some more pictures up once i get chance to give a full detail.

Any way some pictures below i was gutted to see the saloon go as i had her from new and she served me well but a family that is getting bigger and golf clubs ment i needed more room in the boot(although same dimensions floor wise i have gained the height in the boot).I was never really a fan of the avant but love it in the black edition.
