A4 b8 rear door module problem with illuminated door handle retrofit

I have a Audi A4 b8 2010 sline avant vin no.WAUZZZ8K9AA133596 and have retro fitted illuminated door handles, warning and puddle lights in all 4...

I have a Audi A4 b8 2010 sline avant vin no.WAUZZZ8K9AA133596 and have retro fitted illuminated door handles, warning and puddle lights in all 4 doors and recoded all in vcds. All the fronts doors work fine but the rear door only the handles don't light up on both sides. I was advised by t8ups that some of the modules of the rear maybe need changing and removing the door card I found my modules didn't have pin 3 which the rear door handles are wired to.
So I checked on topic on audienthusiasts.com on installing ambient lighting controlled door pocket lighting which mentioned about some modules have shaded or half shaded blocks in the position they are in the car on top right corner of module.
So I purchased 2 modules from eBay.de with the same part number but a different letter at the end and shading in the blocks as required, I installed them and recoded them but still no door handle lights plus I have now lost the puddle and warning lights in rear even tho I coded them in and have no fault codes. These modules have pin 3 required for the handle lights. Not sure what to do as Pns2007
on this forum said its something to do with the letter at the end of the part number that denotes what the module can do?, and advised looking on Etka but I don't have this info. Can anyone help?
Original module number 8k0959795C
Replaced module number 8k0959795E

I carry out my own maintainence on my cars and have recently bought an a4 avant tdi 2.5. Service isnt due yet but want to cahnge the oil and filter for peace of mind.See that you can use either 5w30 or 5w40 fully synthetic on euro car parts. Which do you recommend? Does it really matter if you buy the quantam long life oil? I have a dingbro account and can get comma oil cheaper than any shop,my girl also has a tdi golf which im sure uses the same oil so it would be benificial to get a 25 litre drum so i could use it to service and top up both. Any info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, sad times for me i'm afraid.

Just got this a3 1.8t with agu lump a month ago 165k, had decent service history and new timing belt, clutch/flywheel and other bits and ran sweet, the prev owner admitted it uses a bit of oil but nothing untoward which i noticed and topped up when needed, nothing major and not smokey, except when left idling for a while then drivin off but still not alarming.

So the other day the GF was drivin it and the red oil warning light comes on the mfa, i wasnt with her and she continued on her journey after the car was cold she checked the oil lvl which was low so i met her at this point and topped the oil up then on her way back the car lost all power and came to a stop, when i got to the car it had been sittin maybe half an hour. i tried starting it, it did eventually splutter up to idle but when i gave it throttle it died immediatley.

I got the car transported home and have got the engine in a few bits, so far ive discovered the cam chain tensioner is totally knackered -
IMG_23691.jpg Photo by Enigma5010 | Photobucket

When i took the rocker cover off i noticed large bits of the tensioner slider material all over the place and in around the inlet cam sprocket, also i spotted that the inlet cam sprocket notch was no-longer lining up with the arrow on the cam cap when the exhaust cam and timing belt sprocket were correctly aligned so i pressume oil pressure has dropped, the tensioner has slackened and the inlet cam has retarded a few teeth as its not being forced on b the chain??

What could cause this? Lack of oil? faulty oil pump?

Someone mentioned that these engines are prone to the oil feed from the sump cloggin up, could this be the cause?

i havent got the head off yet to inspect the valves for bendage as i need a long hex key socket bit, also wanted to get a look in the bottom end but was foiled by one bolt at the sump at the box end being a total prick to get at so looks like the only way is to separate the block and box slightly.

I'm just wondering if it even worth sortin this motor as i'm gonna be into 300+ bucks easily to fix maself.

Whats your thoughts guys? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Excessive fuel and oil comstion B6 S4

I did my research before buying the S4 so knew of the oil consumption issues and the low economy but Iv just had to fill the car up again with petrol after only 203 miles, since last weekend, most of the miles are town driving but surely that's a bit low? Iv also had to top the oil up twice in the last 2 weeks, I had the yellow min oil warning light come on a couple of weeks back, topped it up and have sinve done around 400-450 miles, today it's come on again, I have 5l of mobile 1 0w40 in the boot so going to top it up again.
This can't be the norm can it? What are other b6 s4 owners getting fuel and oil wise?. What could be causing these issues?.
