    Wheel spacers

    Hi damo,

Looking at having some wheel spacers fitted at the same time as having my eibach springs fitted on my B7 A4 S-Line

Im thinking about 5-10mm each side, want it slightly wider but not to much, but i have no idea what size/offset etc i need

Wondered if you could help me figure out what i need?

Wheels are 235/40/18, would 10mm be too much do you think?

    Morning,

The offset is a pretty important thing when it comes to deciding what size spacers you want but if you just want it a little wider then 8mm all round could be a good in between option to go for.

It'll most likely be stamped on the inside of the wheels.

You could also measure the distance you have from the edge of the arch to the outside of the tyre and then work off that.

I managed to find this:- http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp

I put the details in as 235/40/18 and i think the wheel size according to my options list is 8j x18, so i put in 8 x 18 is that correct damian?

Anyway i got these results from those details.

    Wheel 1
    Wheel 1
    Wheel size18x8 ET 18
    BackSpace132 mm (5.2'')
    Rim Lip54 mm (2.1'') wider
    Tires:Tire 1
    Tire size235/40-18
    Section width235 mm (9.3'')
    Sidewall94 mm (3.7'')
    Tire diameter645 mm (25.4'')
    Rim sizes18x7 to 18x9
    Circumference2025 mm (79.7'')
    Revs per mile794.6
SpeedometerAssuming that this is OEM tire and speedometer readings are correct

Does that look about right? none of it makes any sense to me at all.

Going off that the ET is 18 which would means the wheels would already be sitting quite far out. Do you have any pictures?

It's very difficult to tell from that view but you should be fine with 15mm rear and 10mm front.
