Hi,

I need some advice as I am really stuck :(

I have a X reg Audi A3 1.8T Sport. The car is lowered with coilovers. The anti roll bar rubs on the driver side drive shaft when I turn right. So I installed adjustable drop links to help counteract the rubbing. I have tried adjusting the drop links so the anti roll bar doesn't rub against the drive shaft but it still makes a noise when i turn right. The noise is quite loud and doesn't sound healthy at all!

I have read on here that you can buy anti roll bars that fit under the driveshaft so no rubbing can occur. But I am low on cash and wondering if there is anything cheaper that can be done to solve the problem.

I rang Northampton Motorsport but he said it could be anything as the weight distribution on the suspension may not be equal which may be the reason. I am new to this site and modifying cars so don't know much.

Btw do u have any branches in the midlands?

Thanks in advance :)

Afternoon,

It's a common problem and the best option is the Whiteline front ARB that goes under the drive shaft but that won't be available until mid to late February at the soonest.

Depending on how bad the contact is, Eibach also offer a front ARB that has bigger hoops which again gives more clearance.

The annoying thing is that the car was fine for 5-6months then out of nowhere the scraping noise appeared!

Here are pictures of the ARB and driveshaft...

The first two links are when the steering is full locked to the right...

These pictures are when the steering is straight or full locked left...

How much would the whiteline ARB cost? I hear there is a forum discount? also how much roughly would it cost to get an anti roll bar fitted?

also ive seen the forge 8mm wheel spacers cheaper for 44quid...would you be able to match or beat that?

also if a new ARB is fitted would the wheel camber have to be changed or adjusted?

sorry for all the questions i just heard from this forum and a few ppl that you know your stuff...thanks :)

£156.32 inc. VAT but we're out of stock until mid to late February.

I'd say around £100 to fit the front.

We could match that price for the Forge ones: http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/for...centre-bore-571-bolt-thread-14x15-p-4804.html

No it shouldn't effect the camber.

If you could just post the link on this thread when you have some in stock as I check this site daily and will order one straight away! I've been waiting months for it hopefully they come soon. Thanks!

Morning,

They came in but only a very small amount so all of them were already taken.

You can go around 50-60mm with the Eibach bar.

We can do the rear fitting kit as well but it's £79.95.
