Suspension recommendations for B7 S4

One of my stock dampers has started leaking, so its soon time to replace. What suspension would you recommend for my car? Its a road only car, but I might be taking it on a track maybe once a year. But only for a couple of laps. The majority of use of the car is crappy uk roads and high speed motorways (most people overtake you if you are 80mph or less here!). I would be fitting them myself, and I have no knowledge on setup, so would need them to be pretty simplistic. Also want them to last, so stainless steel would be prefered.

probably coilovers really, but would consider anything that suitable and not crazy expensive. :)
 
To be honest you'd struggle to find a springs and shocks kit for the S4 B7 and all the coilover kits we have available are £900+.

Bilstein have dampers available but you'd then either need to use your standard springs or go for a set of lowering springs as well but this would also be at least £600+.

Unfortunately nothing for the S4 is ever cheap.

I do like the pss kit, and the eibach kit too. I take it both are pretty good setups?
 
Ok, so I am getting closer to the point of having time to sort suspension. Been quoted £100 a corner for dampers only from Audi. Plus that again for upper control arms. What spring/damper combination would you recommend (not coilover) that would be good performing for road, slight lowering abilities and wont break the bank?

We don't have any springs and shocks options for the S4 but we have the Bilstein B8 dampers for £540.00 inc. VAT and delivery which you could match with a set of springs from Eibach or H&R but this is going to take the total to around £700+.

If you wanted a cheaper option then Bilstein also offer the B4 dampers for £360.00 inc. VAT and delivery and again you could match these with a set of H&R or Eibach springs to bring the total to around the £550 area.

Let me know which sounds better and I'll get some set prices.
