waning lights?

i got an audi 80 1994 tdi when u got the ignition on without the engine running i get the (!) light on and the water light flashing is this normall or is there a problem they go out once the engine is running and seems to go up to 90 on the temp n stay around there? any help would be good thanks

Have you checked the user manual for what the water light is.
Could be coolant or windscreen washer fluid level.
Or maybe a faulty sensor. If there are only 2 wires going to the sensor then you can bridge them and check if the light comes back on.

i really should of checked that its apprently normal it flash's when on ignition without the engine running to signify its working
