If its the 110bhp model then it should be the AFN engine as advised above.
You should have a lable in the service book that states what engine code you have. If you have lost the service book then there is also a label where your spare wheel is located.
On the top of the plastic cambelt cover housing there should also be a bar-coded sticker which lists the engine code and number..........
If its a '99 AFN the engine noise insulation cover should have a red letter 'i' on the TDi motif, although as the cover is so easy to remove it shouldn't be taken as 100% that the cover is original to the car...........
