Wastegate / VNT actulator

Just want to check if the actulator rod is shown in the middle of this picture?

Taken from under the car, I can move the small switch type thing connected to the rod about 1cm or so using my thumb. It's ackward to get to, but it does move. Thanks. Was just checking it as a possible cause for overboost - think I can rule it out if it proves to be the right thing, as free moving.

Thats it.

Mine was free moving but still overboosted and went in to limp mode, change in driving style helped, but i cleaned it all out, will see if it makes a difference.

There's a thing on it somewhere.

Do a search for VNT turbo cleaning and it should bring up something. I found a nice PDF with photos of every step, very useful. It's on the site somewhere.
