1.9 tdi starts rough after cold nights

Mine always sounds rough until its warmed up and then it sounds like a beautiful diesel sound.
Every derv ive driven has been the same i think.

I think first I will try to adjust ignition timing, if that doesn't work I will connect to VAG COM (it will probably be a sensor then).It's so annoying, I also have a power loss, my a3 isn't a pocket-rocket when engine is fine and now it drives almost as SDI. I guess that whats happens when you have an old diesel problems problems problems

It starts but not like it should.
Glow plugs OK.
Battery OK.
Fuel filter changed recently.
234K on the clock, anywhere below 2oC. Sounds like Lemmy from Motorhead gargling with a bag o bolts!! Give it five minutes and it just sounds like a bag o bolts.... Ah the glorious derv.
